No, no. It should be a foot. And during a climactic lightsaber fight where you'd expect the hand to be chopped off, but instead they get her foot. And she should look directly at the camera when it happens and say, "Well that was unexpected!"

Luke will have both his legs cut off at some point. By Rey. When she turns to the dark side.

If they follow the Star Wars ring theory Reys story is the Anakin story repeated.

I watched this again yesterday. I think it may be my favorite.

Nice moment (intentional?) I picked up on. Having the earthquake seperate Rey and Ren after she drops him spares her the decision of having to kill him. I wonder if she would have done it, and if wanting revenge on Ren is what tempts her later.

Lots of talk about how angry she is when she has him down and pacing over him. She's on the verge of the dark side without knowing what that is. Lends weight to the theory she'll go to the dark side by the end. That goes against the whole thing of setting up a strong female lead that was so universally loved but who knows?

The bad guy is the funnest character to play as. Let your daughter be a villain, Stip.

Ren won't be switching sides. There's no coming back from killing Han Solo. Motherfucker.

I don't know. He sure needed Han Solo's help to do that. His whole conflict/story arc is built on wanting to be evil in spite of his inherent pull toward the light.

Maybe he'll never embrace the light fully. Maybe he'll always be angry because of it. But I won't be surprised if he does finally give in and switch sides.

I think some of this is a bit overstated but a very insightful look into storytelling issues with episode VII

James cameron hated this movie. Just kidding. But he said it wasn't imaginative and George Lucas was better but is curious to see where they take it.

Also, i think he's just mad because avatar is terrible
