Been through this with my wife. Keep positive, ask all the questions, demand excellent treatment. There is an end to this, and stage 1 is (I believe) ductal carcinoma in situ. That's a good thing. Thanks all. There will be minimally invasive surgery to remove the cancer, then there will be a discussion of whether next steps will need to be mastectomy or localized radiation. Chemo hasn’t even entered the conversation, so that’s good.

Good news. I just went through all of this with my mom a few years ago (and my dad just after that) They have gotten so good at treating cancer these days. Especially when caught early
