Sometimes I lie awake at night worrying that Chud is going to have 2-3 Korok seeds left to find when Tears of the Kingdom releases.

This is a countdown worth doing.

We should do it a la chud and his korok count

Wonder will he find them all before it arrives?

No pressure pal

I almost pulled the trigger on Skyward Sword HD at my local buy/sell shop. It seemed like playing two Zelda games in such close proximity would diminish the experience of Tears of the Kingdom.

I was tempted to get it last week too. But I’ve just restarted BOTW and want to have it done and a little break and then fly into the new one. I can’t wait !

TotK is the largest 1st party Switch game at 18.2gb. A whopping 26% larger than #2, BotW.

The game is larger in size and scope. More music, graphical assets, voice acting, environments to render, etc.

TotK is $70 which apparently is groundbreaking territory for the industry.

Video games are by far the best bang for your buck in entertainment. It’s not even close.

Anyway I just pre-ordered that shiz.

Just for Switch games. PS5 first party games have been $70 for the past few years. But yeah, it's a no brainer at basically any price under $100.

Hearing it might be two player or Zelda herself playable.

I hope not. In both instances.

Zelda as a playable character is a long time coming.

any word on what the FPS will be? I'm not playing it if it's 30 (sometimes less) again. Going to be impossible for me to tolerate going from super smoothe GoW Ragnarok to that

Having 2 characters that you switch between would certainly expand the puzzle possibilities. But weren't there sections where you controlled Zelda as an Armos in Phantom Hourglass? Definitely not peak LoZ.

Given that they've increased the draw distance even further (!l), it's safe to assume it's not 60 fps. Do 60 fps games even exist on the Switch?

I'm pretty sure Mario Odyssey, Mario Party and Mario Kart all run at 60fps. If not it's close to it. I've been playing them with my kid and I'd definitely notice if it were less.

Several games are 60 fps on Switch. It's not realistic to expect a giant open world game to match that performance on such outdated hardware. Some of the best games of all time are 30 fps or worse.
