Lol cmon guys, don’t misinterpret this. If we’re going to fantasize about what we want the next album to sound like we might as well dream. All I’m saying is I would love for PJ to get creative again, go more mid tempo, and more moody and interesting.

If you really listen to that one Cunningham song I mentioned (the music not the vocals), the chorus has super Radioheady elements.

what are we even talking about here? lol

I remember my excitement being genuinely whipped up into something crazy from listening to snippets of every Backspacer song that they released on Youtube as teasers a few weeks before the album's launch. Only to later pretend like that record never happened.

I'm really pulling the reigns in on this one.

I really thought there was a chance of this with Gigaton. The album title and the artwork got me excited for that direction. But the excitement died the moment I heard the preview of "Superblood Wolfmoon" and I realized they were never gonna make that album

Anything could be bad. I'm picturing songs like "In the Moonlight," "Grievance," "Cropduster," or even a middle-aged version of the intensity and despair of "Rearviewmirror" or "Go." It's a side of their sound that they have completely abandoned in favor of this Adult Contemporary style they seem to naturally gravitate to now

Remember that leaked live snippet of "Infallible" that was from a soundcheck and it sounded super heavy and great? And then the album version had a lot of weird sounds effects and was neutered.

I'll take a bit rough around the edges and dirty than something that's processed and cleaned up for a studio recording.

This is saying a lot given the current status of the poop, pee and weight loss threads.
