I really liked Stip´words on this one. I think the main reason why its a mild turn off for me its because im not sure why thie song deserves attention as a single.

I totally get the choice of the first single, but this one is, at best, a cool rocker that you dont skip in the context of an album...so, its weird to release it a single.

Having said that, its miles better than previous attempts...and the production is so fucking good. The guitars actually sound like guitars, and i love Edñs voice in that ¨superblood wolfmoon¨ chorus.

yeah, probably. Makes sense in that regard...specially when similar recent singles like The Fixer or Mym got a lot of attention.

Listened a few times on the way to work this morning...its maybe grown to like a 3.5 for me.

For me this is a pretty solid modern day Pearl Jam rocker. I put it up there with Johnny Guitar, My Father's Son, Got Some, etc...these are not songs that are ever going to reach the heights of the early rockers, but still a mighty step above the Ole, Can't Deny Me, Supersonics of the world.

Had this not been a 2nd single i have no doubt i would like it even more...my expectations were too high. Maybe Gigaton, like No Code, just isn't really an album with any obvious singles? The band probably wanted to get a more "standard" rocker out there to go along with DotC?

Don't know about yall, but when DotC was released it was posted by a lot of outlets and gained a decent amount of buzz. But I haven't seen the same reception at all for SBWM.

I've been operating under the assumption that it was a classic Who You Are/Habit, NAiS/Insignificance sitch. "We're eager to showcase this track that plays to the project's least-traditional elements, but also feel like we need to reassure you that we still rawk, bro."

This is the world without b-sides version of that arrangement.

What i love about it (shit i think i love it!) is how my attention gets dragged across the entire sonic landscape. Right channel/left channel/up/down and in between.

Like DOTC, there is something to look forward to throughout the song. This song seems to take so many turns that it keeps my attention throughout.

I may be wrong but I feel like the guitars in the final verse of this thing are the most distorted and aggressive since Riot Act; if there are any "heavy" songs on Gigaton that might bode well
