i was let down with the whole thing, the marketing give away the main surprise, and the movie really treats it as a big twist. Then the big comedown was boring to say the least and that final appearance? not strong really.

It had its moments but with that cast, they should have done something way better.

yeah, its a pretty awful movie. I saw it again recently and was surprised with how little scary it was.

I wanted the story to focus on the girl's dreams, she was the main character; have the Grabber and her brother be the B plot

Hawke is supposed to return so it would make sense to dive into the supernatural world.

I want to see more about the siblings' connection in their dreams (she "met" him but they didn't do anything with that... can he also connect with her? the Grabber can also hear the phone, does he possess the same ability and why?) was it really all about the Black phone or does this whole family possess supernatural abilities, stretching back generations? why is their dad so batshit violent, apart from the unsatisfying "because grief"? I don't know, if they can answer all of these questions and tie everything together it might win me over, but it also needs to work out its tonal issues (the weird injections of comedy are jarring)

I'm listening to the "I Saw the TV Glow" OST

it's like, totally dreamy dude

it has a beautiful and glitchy song by Caroline Polachek

I can't fucking wait to watch this masterpiece of a movie

Pretty cool interview with her about the soundtrack and how she meant to do a classic OST like un the old days.

The artists are impressive

Chucky´s S3 was so fun and bonkers and ridiculous. And the setup for S4 is fucking amazing.

"Rent-A-Pal" (2020)

a really solid horror flick that could've stretched the premise a bit further but had character, heart, and a witty grim ending; more than worth the (free) watch
