Yeah, I was implying this kind of stuff as well. Basically, an album full of songs and creative decisions they left off the actual album. Maybe even with one song that they did put on the album *cough* electioneering *cough*

There are 13 available "completed" songs that were left off OKC....

...they are all covered by b-sides & OKNOTOK. Only the alternate, arguably superior version of Lift is included in this dump. Everything that remains is half-baked in some way.
It's also unclear to me if Man-O-War is even really an OKC outtake, or was recorded sometime afterwards.

I'd sub out Electioneering for A Reminder and Meeting in the Aisle for flow and mood. I'm thinking the more straightforward, the better. Maybe include that "Attention" thing that's on disc 1, for instance. True Love Waits, the lounge funk edition...

i always thought Molasses was a Pablo Honey era song. i don't know why. probably just the song title lends itself to it.

At first glance, this would flow pretty well and have a bit more playfulness, with some rhythmic bounce and major key stuff happening.
Does the Lift you're referring to include the radioactive ice cream truck intro? I like this tracklist.

These three were recorded in September 1995 between The Bends and OK Computer (same session as Lucky). They obviously decided to they weren't going to be on OK early as they were released on the Street Spirit single in 1996.

Amazon tells me this is 50 minutes long. I thing it might rule. I'll listen on my drive tomorrow and report back. Will have to work with the full Polyethylene and the OKNOTOK version of Lift for now, but that's fine.
You know, I think there's still an opportunity to close this thing out with The Tourist. Maybe it wouldn't have exactly the same effect, lyrically, as it does on OKC, but sonically it's a track that was born to be a closer. The lyrical content doesn't need to be part of a bigger thematic concept.

Sounds like you and Ridley are framing the same sessions differently. I'm leaning towards Ridley's view because he's right that Molasses was included on one of The Bends EPs (Street Spirit maybe?).
Not trying to be a dick about it, just trying to be specific in identifying the official OKC era.
I don't consider them to be Bends-era tracks but an argument could be made that they aren't OKC tracks either. Three tracks were released as late Bends-era b-sides, one made OK Computer and another was intended for a compilation but also made it to OK Computer. I'm leaning towards the start of OK Computer. But it doesn't matter.

The version of "Lift" on OKNOTOK and I believe "The National Anthem" on Kid A are from those sessions as well, if I am not mistaken.
