I barely remember seeing jedi. I had no idea what was happening and I think I talked through the whole thing. I think I remember Wicket and maybe Jabba. And the Walker thing getting smashed by the two logs.

Saw empire when I was first released. Think it might have been my first time in the cinema?
Didn't see Jedi until 1988 when it was on TV. The original trilogy were on TV here every Christmas. I've seen all the subsequent films, rereleased 'fixed' editions and prequels in the cinema.

Phantom menace was released 15 years ago yesterday.

Lot of rumours about Disney rebooting the prequel trilogy once this new trilogy is out of the way.

Episode 1. That was enough of the prequels for me. I eventually watched the other two at home at some point years later.

Have we talked about this in here yet?

http://www.starwarsunderworld.com/20...off-films.html
We may now know the characters for which the first three Star Wars spin off films will be based upon. The good folks over at the German fansite Star Wars Union have heard that Hasbro showed a chart at a recent training session which showed the plan for the next several years of Star Wars films. The chart read:

Fall 2014: Rebels
2015: Episode VII
2016: Boba Fett
2017: Episode VIII
2018: Solo
2019: Episode IX
2020: Red Five

We've been hearing that Boba Fett and Han Solo films are in the works since the spin off films were announced, so it's no surprise to see them listed. The real shocker is Red Five. As we all know, Red Five was Luke Skywalker's call sign during the assault on the Death Star in Episode IV, so does this mean we're getting a Luke Skywalker spin off film? I must say, a Luke film would be really interesting, be it set during the Original Trilogy or between the Original Trilogy and the Sequel trilogy.

By all [rumored] accounts, Ford is done with this thing. I can't see any way they get him to do more than this new trilogy.

Personally, I don't think Han makes it out of Episode VII.

Hamill could maybe go either way depending on when it's set. If it's between Jedi and VII, maybe they use him. Other wise, I gotta think he's way too old.

i'm thinking new actors, prequel stories for both han and luke. there's no way they center a star wars movie around a 65-70 year old man.

I would tend to agree. I just don't know how confident they are in modern technologies ability to age fucker downs, like in X-Men 3. I could absolutely see them trying to cast Mark Hamill and using CGI to make him look 20. I wouldn't recommend it, or champion that course. But I could easily see it employed.

But, yeah, I'd rather new actors for any prequel biddniz.

If they are gonna do a Luke or Han type spin off, and they are going to be younger, so in between episodes, then I'd rather them just go a Pixar route and animate it.

Hammil will hang around. He'll take on the older tutor role in these or any spin offs.

Making his pupil engaging without being a Hollywood star. That's the really hard part.
