So apparently the Soulsavers version of Blues Run The Game (with Mark on vocals) has vanished from my computer. Not sure how the F that happens. Does anyone have a quality rip of Soulsavers - Blues Run The Game that you could PM me? Thank you kindly

edit: the sound starts rough, I am sure the room was LOUD but it evens out after the first Gahan track it seems.
edit part deux: Strange Religion is such a beautiful song.

Moving article from his nephew on his birthday yesterday, also reveals cause of death:
he died because of covid right? he was super frail after that.

Yeah, the only detail the article adds, I believe, is that he refused to get vaccinated.

Mark was a very tough guy. His book is amazing but also it shows how brave and difficult he was. I cant imagine living a pandemic with him as family.

All the shit he put in his body over the years but a vaccine was a bridge too far. You gotta love humanity.

No I don't believe that was new, he was vehemently anti from what I recall during what was clearly a turbulent time (COVID not withstanding)

Kinda crazy that I discovered a new to me Kurt Cobain vocal track on this guy's first solo album today.
Good reminder that there is so much music out there. Hard to fathom.

yeah, its kinda weird to think bout that first album now. It was so different to what he was doing at the time.

I was recently listening to him on Marc Maron's podcast and he spoke of an attempt with Kurt to do a whole album of Leadbelly covers. Sounds like that project was scrapped about an hour into recording, but the WDYSLN cover on that first solo album gives Nirvana's unplugged performance some new context for me.

This is a very special moment in rock history for me. Foo Fighters would go on to create terrible and mundane rock music, but the mfer was still in some really good bands. Them Crooked would be the next.
