Not a fan of dead baby jokes?
they're all dead baby jokes
I think he hates kids.
Thus being funny.

Figured it’s been 4 years since I’d seen him so I’d grab tickets to one of these. Got front row in my cart. $250/ticket plus fees. Fuck this “family” comedian. He might work clean, but there is nothing family-friendly about charging so much an ordinary family will have to make hard grocery decisions in order to see him close enough to actually see him. There is no production value in wearing jeans and telling jokes. When is enough money enough?

Just got upper level in Nashville for $125/pair. I don’t have to be close enough to see his nose hair.

that's about $75 more than what I paid per ticket to see billie eilish second row middle of the arena (in the round) for her show last month. i'm betting she played for about an hour longer than bargatze's standup.

They just getting the clearing price. If they don't charge it, the secondary market will. I have no issues with it. I wouldn't pay that to see Bargatze but to each their own. Shit, I wouldn't pay that to see any current comedian unless they playing a club.

It’s because the whole schtick is so one-note. We’re talking Gallagher-levels of predictability. It has all the surprise of a late-series episode of Friends.
Crazy you mention Gallagher.

The new Nate Bargatze on Netflix starts very slow, but I would say is a solid B by the end. He’s treading well-worn territory at this point, but he still does so with charm.

Yeah slow start but we laughed a lot during the performance. His delivery is my favorite thing ever. There were some really great jokes in there.

I did. It was fine. He basically did George Washington again, which I understand, but it still bummed me out. I just hate to see a comedian lose his edge. He’s complacent now. The nice part is he’s using his status to bring up other comedians. Next year should be the last time he tours like this. He should be trying to find the perfect streaming sitcom for his style or trying to make a regular prime time variety show.

He’s gonna have to work on his acting if he goes the sitcom route.

I think he just needs to take some time away from the arena tours and work on new material. The new special is funny because he has great delivery, but definitely some recycled stuff like the community college stuff

we made it about halfway through his new special, and while I think there are some funny moments, I'm conflicted about comedians in general, performing in arenas.
I feel like he's earned that kind of payday, and he's selling out the arenas. Still, it also feels like an overwhelming ask to pack in 20k people and get the same results you would in a 3k-seat or less theater especially when you're doing the same routine in every city.

I think Nikki did a great job at the Globes.
Adding a Joker 2 stab on the monologue is like beating a dead horse, but overall a great job.
Watched the latest Tom Papa special "Home Free" on Netflix last night.
Man, that guy also has a direct line to my funny bone.
His 2020 special "You're Doing Great" is slightly better imo (look for baby shit orange Toyota Corolla).
