accumed.com is the one the dr recommended yesterday but i should stress it is the one he feels comfortable with.

they are cheap enough to get a box and see if you like it
I saw a site that sold fake masks that look real. You breathe normal through them. I'd go with one of them.

If you're at a higher risk there are plenty of precautions you can take and/or adjustments to your lifestyle you can make that make that mitigate the choices that others make. Get vaxxed and stop worrying about what others are doing.
Unless more evidence comes out that over 65s have less protection (including against hospitalization/death) after 6-8 months. That appears to be where this is going.
Then they should be stocking up and learning how to use N95 masks.

my wife just text me saying she had one of her employees sitting with her in her office today--they were both masked. her employee has a daughter who's been sick since Monday, and she's still been sent to school. today, the daughter tested pos for covid.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the sheer stupidity in not only sending your sick kid to school for four fucking days, and then hanging out in close quarters with other people knowing you've got a sick kid.

especially, when you work in healthcare. on top of that, you work for the director of infectious diseases (my wife) at the hospital.

i mean, godddamnit. and i really don't care that they were masked. you could be in an office and touch a million things.

note: my wife never wanted to hire this person from the start, but her boss did the hiring.

Are they getting sick and going to the hospital though? We all know vaccinated people can test positive. But what is the result physically to them?

Mild symptoms right now but their are plenty of life changing side effects that do not require hospitalization

Edit: Hickenlooper is positive as well, mild symptoms. Someone in the senate must be asymptotic but highly contagious

is your primary care provider in peak physical condition?

How many people have any of us given any disease or virus to others that can ultimately spread to vulnerable people. The flu kills lots of vulnerable people every year and I did not see the moral panic with it.

Get vaxxed, get on with life and yes, some people will die of Covid. Some people will die in car accidents but we still drive and don't demand pedestrians where armour and bike helmets. We allow people to smoke while knowing second hand smoke kills people. I am not going to change my moral obligations for just one disease when we do a whole shit ton of things that contribute to deaths.

Comparing the flu to covid is so tired.
