I was listening to Mo Money Mo Problems on the radio and was really liking Kelly Price's part. Anybody know much about her music?

I'm obsessed with this chorus.

Joe, what did you think of the Tyler, the Creator album from this year? I think you'll like the title at least.

"Silver Springs" is the greatest Fleetwood Mac song. I've been sleeping on this song for decades. It's unbelievably beautiful. God damn.

Hadn't heard of him until your post. But I threw on his 2023 record and I fucking loved it.

Yeah, the album is super solid. I mostly got hooked on live performances of his more alt-americana stuff. The album has more straight country numbers, which I kinda need to be in the mood for. But it's 90 mins long (!), so it's no wonder he mixes it up over the runtime.

His lyrics are very fucking good.

I’m only familiar with his cover of Stand By Me, but that’s a very good cover.

I need to go over Converge's back catalogue before the new album is released in 2026, I'm re-listening to Jane Doe and enjoying it a lot; the only other album I know is their recent collab with Chelsea Wolfe

edit: I wish drums were still produced like this, bring back a tight snare

After Bob Dylan, who is the most influential artist in popular music history?

Are you suggesting that Dylan is the most influential?

A playground for the demented, a haven for those who walk this world bereft of heart and soul.

He's not suggesting it, he's stating it.

In the summer of '23, I had a two hour roundtrip commute to work. It was the hottest summer I can recall and my car had no AC. I'd pack a change of clothes and baby wipes just so I could freshen up when I got to work. It was miserable.

That whole summer was soundtracked by The Dead. Just one long playlist. Show after show. I can't imagine better songs to endure that summer than "The Music Never Stopped" or "Me and My Uncle" or a really fucking weird "Playing in the Band".

I told myself I'd see Dead & Co. next time they came around. I think they came in '24 or '25. I missed 'em.

RIP Bobby. I don't really get bummed on a personal level about celebrity deaths, but this one gets me a little.
