Continues in that vein. some lyrics are pretty good, but definitely this kind of new age feel.
So kind of a new-agey religious vibe then. They should've put a bit of sitar on that.
maybe. it'll be a few more listens before I start honing in on lyrics. But the sex stuff in getaway seems to be more about us feeling like we can fuck the world.
Awesome.

How do you know this? Can you tell other songs are coming in as one fades out?
There is some new guitar at end of LB that seems like it's the beginning of the next track (Infallible). Plus it's kinda weird that SW is track 5 and LTRP is track 3, since LTRP comes after it on the album.

[EDIT]
Noted. Very interesting.

If Getaway had been a b-side to a Backspacer single, you would have gone "yeah, that's okay...I can see why it didn't make the album, but it's a decent b-side I guess."

Do you guys think the band will be surprised when the audience knows all the words to these songs before the album is out? Or was this intentional to help seamlessly bridge them into the existing setlists?

*sticking in the no leak club for now.

I'm sure they expected it. Just the world we live in now. Lady Gaga debuted her new album live at iTunes Festival and everyone in the front row was singing along to the words.

And the Grinch, with his grinch-feet ice-cold in the snow,
Stood puzzling and puzzling: "How could it be so?
It came without ribbons! It came without tags!
"It came without packages, boxes or bags!"
And he puzzled three hours, `till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before!
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store.
"Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!"

So now we have a bunch of people here ready to scream "the leaked versions were so much better!!" and crap on the actual album when it comes back.

Figures a Phish fan would go ahead and ruin this for the Pearl Jam fanboys.

Give the new relationship fog a chance to dissipate. Get back to me in a few months.

Lightning Bolt is 100% a solo Pete Townshend track.
