Ugh... Yes Trump is an imbecile. He sucks. Biden, you aren't the answer by default.

Liberal America's desperate need to win the approval of Europeans is one of it's most embarrassing and loathsome traits.

You're Americans. Act like it.

No disrespect to Europe meant, but they are at least as much fuck-ups as we are. If I hear one more democrat apologize on behalf of the country I'll...do nothing I guess. But I will judge them. Judge them mightily.

Mickey and/or Burt,

Explain to me how my day-to-day life will be any different if someone other than Trump wins the election. Aside from, of course, being inundated with media coverage about the president acting like an ass.

Was your life affected by the transition from the last one?

Would make good thread.

How about they don't and you try to take an interest in something outside of your little bubble?

You're a white middle to upper class man with a professional career living in a major urban area at the outset of middle age, having already had children. It's going to take decades before your day to day life changes.

I'm not Mickey and/or Burt, but I will say this: many, probably most, people's day to day life doesn't change with a change in political power. (Which, by the way, is a great thing about this country and others that regularly exercise the peaceful transfer of power.) When I'm voting, I'm thinking not about how my life will change, but how the lives of others will change, hopefully for the better if the vote goes my way. Now I have no problem with someone casting a ballot only for one's self interest, nor will I begrudge those who don't vote because it doesn't affect them directly. But plenty of others are motivated by other reasons.

Daily life hasn't really changed, no. But, to the point above, it's been quite unsettling how far some people I know in real life have gone into the Trump abyss.

People are mostly too pea brained to understand existential threats. In this case, the existential threat to our democracy.
