If the Gigaton tour is anything to go by, we'll be lucky to get more than 4 tracks from the new album at any show.

With set list reduction they shouldn't play more 3 per show.

The shows will probably be 3 from DM, 2 from Gigaton, 3 from Binaural through Lightning Bolt, 12 from Ten through Yield, and 2 covers.

They will play DM at the first 4 shows then drop it forever.

That made me think: There hasn't really been a new setlist staple since Yield, has there? What's the song closest to being one since then?
Going of setlist.fm the closest seems to be Save You as their 29th most played song with 185 plays but that song also has pretty much vanished again.

Grievance, Last Kiss and Unthought Known are also up there.

Unthought Known was the first one to come to mind.

Except it won’t. There will be, if you are lucky, 1 from Binaural. If they play 25 songs, I am betting between 18-19 will be from Ten, Vs., Vitalogy, and Yield. 1 or 2 between No Code and Binaural, 2-3 covers to rarities, a token song from Gigaton, and the rest Dark Matter.

I think Gigaton will get short shrift on the next tour. We'll maybe get the odd one but i have a feeling that album will be buried.

I like that as well. Ten, Vs, Vitalogy, and Yield are in my top 5 Pearl Jam albums so that’s fine.

For better or worse, God's Dice and Ghost have never blown the roof off an arena.

Right. I have a feeling more people would much rather them perform Corduroy and Even Flow than those two songs.

They should retire most of the Ten - Vitalogy era from heavy rotation by now. Don’t live on playing Alive and Jeremy every night all their lives.

If I go to a band's new album tour, I kind of expect to hear a minimum of 4/5 from the new album. Less than that and it says to me that the band don't have confidence in the new material. Or they don't think the fans give a shit (which Jagger has mentioned before).

They say that PJ is always unpredictable. But they do have some sort of setlist formula. It's something like this. PJ setlist = 12 songs from Ten, Vs, Vitalogy + GTF & DTE + 4 songs from latest album + 3 album cuts from No Code, Yield, Binaural, RA, S/T, BS, LB, GT + 1 Lost Dogs + Cover + Yellow Ledbetter.
