There is an eagle in me and a mockingbird . . . and the eagle flies among the Rocky Mountains of my dreams and fights among the Sierra crags of what I want . . . and the mockingbird warbles in the early forenoon before the dew is gone, warbles in the underbrush of my Chattanoogas of hope, gushes over the blue Ozark foothills of my wishes—And I got the eagle and the mockingbird from the wilderness.

O, I got a zoo, I got a menagerie, inside my ribs, under my bony head, under my red-valve heart—and I got something else: it is a man-child heart, a woman-child heart: it is a father and mother and lover: it came from God-Knows-Where: it is going to God-Knows-Where—For I am the keeper of the zoo: I say yes and no: I sing and kill and work: I am a pal of the world: I came from the wilderness.

Plotting our summer/family vacation.

We’ve got friends up in the Pacific Northwest who’ve invited us to stay with them in June - I’ve never been up there. The other option is Chicago, but we’d likely go at the end of May to avoid the heat.

Airfare for the six of us to Seattle is a lot. We’d drive to Chicago with an overnight stop in St. Louis

Either option is fine by me.

Weather will prob be nicer in Seattle. Chicago is my favorite US city but I think I’d go to Seattle with kids.

got tickets to colombia!

Ill be going to Bogota in february. Im planning to see the Eje Cafetero, drink so much coffee ill probably die. After that Cartagena and some beaches.

For anyone who know stuff, besides Jorge or course, let me know cool places to eat or drink or whatever!!

We’re road tripping around central and Southern Ireland for spring break this March. This will either be awesome or terrible.

Stayed in County Kerry for a week back in Dec 2000. Had an absolute blast.
