Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I figured they weren't going to do a season 3 after the disaster that was season 2. But man, season 1 was damn near perfection.

I bet I'd like season 2 a lot more than season 1 if I actually watched this show

I figured this was the case while watching HBO Go last week. They do a promo for a ton of their shows (and for HBO Go, itself) and they always say "Every Episode" (is available on HBO Go) for the shows that are still running (like Girls or Veep) and they say "Entire Series" for shows that have ended (like The Wire, Togetherness, etc).
And it said "Entire Series" for True Detective.
I took that as nail-in-coffin confirmation.

I don't remember what it said for Curb. I don't even remember if it was a part of the promo or not.

They should just take season two off of there and stop wasting the time of unsuspecting Season one fans.
