The mercury/transience tracks could just be alternate takes of the same song, so maybe only one of them (most likely the worst one) will make the record? Bands often take different approaches to the same song and include only one.
The idea of having one open and one close is way too good of an idea for me to expect it from this band these days.
However, I am pretty excited to hear this in 2 years after these reviews.

that's true. I hope not though. Or if it is, I hope they use mercury.

In all seriousness, I'd be very surprised if this happened without band/management approval (or knowledge to some extent.)

What are the chances these demos get finished, the band goes a complete different direction, and these are released 15 years down the line after having been well chronicled and circulated among bootleggers as the long lost Pearl Jam album?
Didn't someone want rock star mystique about them again?
