Haas looked poor.

Hulkenberg seem to be faster than Bortoleto, but made a mistake in the final round of qualifying.

They are young, but disappointing results by Antonelli and Lawson in top team cars.

Q2 has started now. I actually expect less surprises here, but let’s wait and see.

As expected in Q2. The two Williams (Sainz and Albon), Gasly (Alpine) and Tsunoda (Racing Bulls) have been fast. Top six were the six drivers expected to dominate the season (Norris, Verstappen, Piastri, Russell, Leclerc and Hamiton).

The final round for each driver in Q3 coming up. Verstappen leading so far, but pole is expected to come from this last round.

Impressive pole by Norris, with Piastri not far behind, and Verstappen pushing them.

Russell seems solid.

Disappointing by Ferrari. Leclerc better than Hamilton, but something happened, and Leclerc didn’t finish a final lap. Expected him to be higher up at the end.

Tsunoda and Albon with an excellent quali. Well done by Gasly and Sainz, although they didn’t quite push on in Q3.

Rumours already that Doohsn needs to perform, to keep Colapinto from taking his seat. Colapinto has a lot of money with him.
yup

i can totally picture flavio dumping guys in that seat who don't perform within like 2-3 races

just watched the highlights

what a wild quali

Lawson what a disappointment.

Also it dawned on me that just by virtue of his inexperience and Mercedes (same situation with Antonelli), the batte for constructors is really just gonna be between McLaren and Ferrari since they both have experienced drivers who should not roll eggs in quali like this (and hopefully Williams can yolo into competition for Constructors as well)

Max showing his pedigree today but the McLaren boys really using that car to it's max

Concerned about Ferrari underperformance. I didn't like them getting rid of Sainz and can't help but feel like Hamilton's gonna be mid as he gets used to the car

Williams what an awesome surprise. happy for them

Tsunoda definitely showing he was worth a look from Red Bull and you know what if Lawson sucks ass like this 1-2 more races then would def not be surprised if Tsunoda gets the call-up

gonna be interesting to see who among these rookies grinds it out and how they respond

the back of the grid could be spicy with these guys in the bullpen going after each other

see if some of them can break through into the front

that said for this race - if it's raining - def gonna be an advantage for the experienced drivers who have driven their same car before

Also happy with Williams. I hope they can fight for a good position in the constructors championship. They won’t win it, but 5th-6th is realistic.

yeah

Williams is the new McLaren - i.e. underdoggish team with drivers and principal you like that you want to do well

now that McLaren is alpha dawg

still amazed at their upgrade that launched them from 18-20th to 2nd

wild stuff

Lando v. Piastri gonna be an interesting theme this year. could see in Quali already how they were pushing each other

I think I’ll root for the Australian.

Did Trump ban Americans from participating in F1?
