If he does, maybe because those other bands are often considered to be about a half tier above The Who. Or could be that his “heart on his sleeve” style delivery doesn’t work for everybody. For me he was a good as anyone.

Just discovered The Gits a few days ago. Then I read their Wikipedia. Fucking awful shit. I want to keep listening because it's so good, but kind of hard to enjoy after reading about Mia Zapata.

yeah, i love the gits but her death was something that got very paranoid to the whole seattle community back then. The Home Alive comp is pretty cool and there is also a good documentary about the whole thing.

I am definitely of the mindset that this is not only their best songs but is easily top 100 for the 90s. Perhaps it is the fun they have in the video for it that does it for me

I hate saying Sufjan Stevens name so much that if it ever comes up in convo for whatever reason, I find roundabout ways to avoid saying it.
