Re: The Official GIGATON Thread (real tracklists released!)
I expected to see some more news about the album this week (also expected to get the Mach 3 version of DoTC). Nothing so far. That short clip of River Cross already seems old.
I am shocked by how few people have written about the album given it has been played at a listening party already. Some more first impressions would help. Another single would too.
I need something! March 27 is too far away.

Pearl Jam is the only band I'll spend money on.

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread (real tracklists released!)
You answered your own point with the last sentence. If they start writing about it now, the hype will be fatigued by late March. Articles will start being written and more info will leak a couple of weeks before release.Release_Me wrote:I expected to see some more news about the album this week (also expected to get the Mach 3 version of DoTC). I'm trying to temper my expectations and not repeat my hypomanic, emotional LB posting performance, but deep inside I am writing a thousand posts about how impatient I'm getting

Right. I would have rather known about a new album a month from now. This wait is becoming intense.Release_Me wrote:I expected to see some more news about the album this week (also expected to get the Mach 3 version of DoTC). Nothing so far. That short clip of River Cross already seems old.

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread (real tracklists released!)
It always seems rather strange to me to announce things that far in advance these days. Things are moving at such an accelerated pace that it's far more difficult to keep the excitement at the pitch I'd presume they want over the course of a few months.

I'll continue trying to grasp a mental picture of this. Thanks for the challenge.96583UP wrote:like a popup shop containing a displaced polar bear
