My understanding is hygiene theater--as is the whole concept of physical distancing in the sense of being X feet away from people. Tracking monitors might have some worth if they're tracking the real risky places--indoor, poorly ventilated, crowded locations--but outdoors, it's a total joke. The NFL proved that last season when they had no record of transmission from one team to another.

The sanitizing didn’t begin as theater; no one knew how the novel virus was transmitted, so better safe than sorry. But it is weird that you continue to see it recommended specifically to covid.

It’s probably an indicator that there’s a strong belief more viruses will be on their way, so might as well get everyone used to keeping their hands clean.

Living in a completely sterilized environment is not good for your immune system.

Starting to see chatter of getting flu shots earlier than usual, which I don’t really get. I suppose trying to get ahead of overall sickness in anticipation of hospital occupancy issues.

My point was really that I see no evidence of my school district doing anything with COVID money other than hiring a bunch of Assistant Directors. The sanitizer wasn't the be all solution to COVID, it was meant to represent the barest minimum that anyone could do.

My point was really that I see no evidence of my school district doing anything with COVID money other than hiring a bunch of Assistant Directors. The sanitizer wasn't the be all solution to COVID, it was meant to represent the barest minimum that anyone could do.

It must be hard to figure out how to spend the money practically outside of ventilation type stuff.
