Really? Jeesh. Easily one of their most embarrassing songs.VinylGuy wrote:People went crazy in 2009 when they played The Fixer.
It was pretty popular.
I thought it was a funny and obviously ridiculous response to something a small child would say, and I ran it by Thejambi before posting to make sure it was cool. Thanks for reading my postbada wrote:Jorge keeping the newly acquired positive board vibes alive by calling someone's kid dumb.
Yep. The Fixer was huge circa 09/10.VinylGuy wrote:People went crazy in 2009 when they played The Fixer.

What about his maid situation?tragabigzanda wrote:I mostly just continue to watch Plat's slow growth from bratty trickster to responsible adult. He's making some stumbles as he grapples with his emergent reality, but the end-result is astonishingly clear: He'll be a rabid RHCP fan, with a solid life insurance package and the deepest respect for all RMers, in short time.
I thought my post was funny and in on the joke. I ran it by nobody. I remember I was at a club a month or two after it dropped. The DJ put it on and the place went absolutely wild. Hundreds of people bouncing and grinding to the song. I approached one girl who was loving the song and asked if she preferred the Brendan O'Brien remixes of some of the songs from Ten on the 2004 Rearviewmirror set or his more recent mixes on the Ten 20th anniversary set. She looked at me with confusion and disgust and told me to leave her alone. Fucking pleb.
Ain't no one gettin' wet to The Fixer!rick malone wrote:Grinding to The Fixer?lecherouslittlestump wrote:Yep. The Fixer was huge circa 09/10.VinylGuy wrote:People went crazy in 2009 when they played The Fixer.

There was a huge parade on ACL when they played it. Huuuge. I was shocked.rick malone wrote:Grinding to The Fixer?lecherouslittlestump wrote:Yep. The Fixer was huge circa 09/10.VinylGuy wrote:People went crazy in 2009 when they played The Fixer.

I believe Just Breathe is their biggest selling song in the States. Bigger than Last Kiss or Jeremy.Biff Pocoroba wrote:I don't remember The Fixer being that big of a deal.
Just Breathe of course had moderate success though. I got several compliments from friends on that along with "I thought they broke up?"
I get it. You’ve chosen not to enjoy the song. It’s cool.theplatypus wrote:Bammer... come on man
