You're still in KC, right? I wouldn't mind hearing some more reports from there.--- wrote:

Re: 2013 NFL Season
warehouse is right: lots of spinning, lots of rationalizing ("We didn't even expect to be here, so it's actually a great season!"), very few blaming the head tub-of-goo for not doing what any high school coach worth his salt should be able to do: manage the clock and adjust playcalling for the circumstances of the game (read: don't pass the ball when up four touchdowns in the second half)

The best part about Reid not being that good is detroit fans on sports radio last week complaining that if they had fired Schwartz last year they could have gotten an established coach like Reid.

I watched my first NFL game last night. Guessing 45-44 isn't a normal scoreline?

Im okay with Caldwell or Whisenhunt I guess. It's not like I have a say in it. But all the idiots who consider it a failure not to get Gruden, Cowher or Dungy are just fools. Hey, lets get Lombardi!

I'm ok with a no-name coordinator or going out on a limb with a college coach, but Caldwell would be terrible.@SkitchP wrote:Chris_H_2 wrote:And now they'll get Jim Caldwell!@SkitchP wrote:The best part about Reid not being that good is detroit fans on sports radio last week complaining that if they had fired Schwartz last year they could have gotten an established coach like Reid.

sounds like it'll be whisenhunt. another offensive coach in the nfc north; as usual, everyone's just trying to keep up with the pack.Chris_H_2 wrote:I'm ok with a no-name coordinator or going out on a limb with a college coach, but Caldwell would be terrible.@SkitchP wrote:Chris_H_2 wrote:And now they'll get Jim Caldwell!@SkitchP wrote:The best part about Reid not being that good is detroit fans on sports radio last week complaining that if they had fired Schwartz last year they could have gotten an established coach like Reid.

I'm ok with that. Just so long as he can do something about Stafford.spike wrote:sounds like it'll be whisenhunt. another offensive coach in the nfc north; as usual, everyone's just trying to keep up with the pack.Chris_H_2 wrote:I'm ok with a no-name coordinator or going out on a limb with a college coach, but Caldwell would be terrible.@SkitchP wrote:Chris_H_2 wrote:And now they'll get Jim Caldwell!@SkitchP wrote:The best part about Reid not being that good is detroit fans on sports radio last week complaining that if they had fired Schwartz last year they could have gotten an established coach like Reid.

I'm seriously questioning whether the Bengals will ever be able to go all the way with Marvin Lewis. His teams have consistently lacked mental toughness when it counts, and today was no exception.

I have the same feeling about a few other NFL coaches, and Lewis is on that list.Green Habit wrote:I'm seriously questioning whether the Bengals will ever be able to go all the way with Marvin Lewis. His teams have consistently lacked mental toughness when it counts, and today was no exception.

indy only has one offensive threat. pretty confident that new england will be able to take care of business.
