This is just an average Tuesday for Brent though.

Not sure how I feel about this. Defense needs the most help, along with Winston's decision making. Most of the offense is there. There are rumors he'll bring in Todd Bowles as DC.
So, you were excited about Koetter, but not Arians... the man who brought a decades-dormant franchise to viability with a has-been QB through the shear creativeness of his offensive play-calling.

Interesting.

No that's not it. Just the whole thing about him leaving football for good when he was done in Arizona. Or am I remembering that wrong?

I know he has a relationship with Winston, so that's good given that the bucs are sticking with him

Looks like Bowls and Leftwich are joining Arians in Tampa

You're absolutely right to worry about BA's health. You may only get 3 or 4 years out of him, but those 3 or 4 years are gonna be fun as hell.

Bowles now not 100% on coming to Tampa for DC. Is also thinking about Chicago.

So the Bucs have cut Gerald McCoy because they intimated he was "unprofessional" (IE his contract was expensive)
and they have filled his role with Ndamakong Suh......

Ok.

Suh has been very professional. Perhaps, too professional. This probably has more to do with the 3-4 defensive scheme and Suh has proven he can be affective within it with the Rams last year. Also, Bowles wanted Suh in the past and now he has him. I wonder who's gonna add McCoy.

I'd like to make my prediction as to how this season will play out. It may start off sounding good, but doesn't bode well for the future. Jameis is going to have a career year under Arians. Bucs will surprise a lot of people, possibly make a wild card spot. Whatever they do, it will be good enough for them to decide to re-sign Winston at the end of this contract year for another 5 years, where he'll fall back into mediocrity.

3 interceptions and 2 fumbles. He's not going to get better. I hope they keep Arians around after this year and let him draft a young QB to mentor next year

Why does it seem like kickers used to be a lot better?

It’s the moving back of the XP I reckon. FG% has fluctuated but ultimately gotten better in the last decade:

Interesting. Louie Aguiar banging fgs in the 90s must have threw off my perception.
