I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

When was the last time there were two high profile but unrelated suicides so close to each other?

He leaves behind an 11 year old daughter, right? I liked you, Anthony Bourdain, but I don't like your decision to abandon your daughter at this point in her life

Last year. The Linkin Park dude killed himself right after Chris Cornell.

Yeah, this is the part that bothers me the most.

Not what, voice our opinions? It's a selfish act, LV. You're entitled to take a different opinion.

Ugh. I hate this “selfish act” bullshit people throw around with suicide. It is so backwards and callous to see someone who was in pain commit suicide and react by shaming them for forsaking what you think their obligations should be. Fuck that. It’s borderline cruel.

It's not borderline, LV. It is cruel.

This is absolutely stunning. I'm genuinely not sure how I'm gonna get through today. I'm shaken.

It's not just cruel, it's also myopic, unempathetic, and actually harmful to people who are struggling. I think we talked about all this back when Cornell died. At the very least we can agree that pointing at a suicide and saying "how selfish!" helps nothing.

I assumed after he got the six pack abs a while back something was wrong and he was possibly on drugs again.
