Breed fucking jammed. Altho, she seemed to have a monitor problem that kept her singing behind the music the whole time.
Really cool they did Breed and School. Those are my two favorite Nirvana tunes.

I still listen to Bleach and Unplugged from time to time. Haven’t reached for the other ones in at least 15 years.

I'm always happy to see these guys playing together.
This isn't a knock on Jett etc, but Kim G's appearance was the only one where I felt they captured something vaguely close to the spirit of the band - but that's fine, it's a big ask.

When I went hardest into Nirvana from 1993-1998, despite loving all three albums, there was something about Incesticide that I was always most drawn to. Getting older, I have to report that I come back to Nevermind. Yet I have a lot of love for the rawness of In Utero. These guys didn’t have enough time together to turn sour - the material is top notch wherever you look.

If I get the Nirvana itch I turn to Utero but all of their records are solid gold top 1% all time.

The RSD Albini Remix of In Utero is a super fun change of pace too. It’ll never supplant the original version, though a few of his remixes — Very Ape, Rape Me, Pennyroyal Tea — all improve on the original.
I'll take all the Utero I can get. The subsequent deluxe and remixed versions have all been very welcome. Albini was undoubtably the perfect choice for that record.

Arguably, but that wasn't the goal.
They just wanted to make new mixes that were deliberately different from the originals, because they had no alternates to include - Albini was that efficient.

On Unplugged, they played with an intricacy that they hadn’t displayed before and Kurt brought in guest musicians that elevated the performance from great to legendary.
