This is a pretty good story about why weighing yourself everyday can be frustrating.

The part I found most interesting was the night before when she drank alcohol, she actually weighed less in the AM because it is a diuretic and she peed out a lot of urine. However, in the long run, the alcohol can cause weight gain because it's dense in calories.

Pls read and let me know what you guys think:

1. I don't have periods, so no problem

2. I'm very regular. I poop every morning before I weigh in

3. I don't find my mood is tied to my weight, but I've been making pretty steady progress

4. I don't drink alcohol

172.6 this morning. I don't think I've weighed this little since highschool.

ok these are all positive things. I guess the only thing that might throw you off is carbs, which store water, so if you indulge w/ chips or something like that you might see a little change but it will go back to reg weight

Yes, a positive attitude is super important.

The cleaning lady moved my scale and I thought it threw off the calibration, but if I am following Step One here, it is OK:

Watch the display on the digital scale as you step on and off. You should see the scale register a weight and then return to the "000" display immediately when you step off.

Was 149 at the dr.’s office today. Fully clothed with phone, wallet and keys on me.

Probably means I’m actually 145-146, which checks out with my scale at home.

next time be sure to weigh yourself not clothed, bent over, cheeks spread, and tell no one

at least that's how my pediatrician made me do it growing up..

I still find it hard to believe your dad was a pediatrician.
