I sure hope Lando isn't in IX. Move forward with the new characters. Enough with the old AF characters to kill off.

I don’t think you have to worry. He’ll have a scene or two of that I reckon. That’ll be it

I want Lando to be a major role in the film, actually. I'm pretty excited to see him again.

If I'm honest... I always liked Lando more than Han.

Don’t know about that but he’s ultra charismatic and likeable but especially in Jedi.
I don’t Ink he’ll be given a lot to do here
It’ll be something about the droid facility he’s running lending them support with that or money or they’ll go to him for his contacts. Really can’t see him being a huge feature. Especially if you have Leia cut back to a diminished role

there is no way Lando has a big role in this one.

Yeah. Billy Dee will have minimal screen time, I'm sure. But a dude can dream...

They amended the report a day after I posted.
That’s why MSW holds back on reporting stuff until they *know* something.
These guys, understandably, published immediately and it turns out to be a totally different thing. There’s a lesson in there. Somewhere

someone posted this comment at Birth.Movies.Death and I think it encapsulates my thoughts on SW and why I'm so critical of the PT, ST and SW Story movies.
Star Wars was always about a specific and unique moment in cinema history, and that is what makes the original trilogy transcendent. That it was positioned as part 4-5-6 in a bigger story was an idea that was at its most powerful when the other parts weren't realized. Star Wars simply was never a "transgressive" concept like for example James Bond, that can be permuted endlessly with different actors and directors, and it wasn't conceived as an expanded universe.
