Watching the Howard Stern performances. Who put Boom in time out? I'd be super annoyed to have to get somewhere at 4am to just sit in the background. Or maybe he is just a diva who doesn't touch ivory before 6am once he's bathed in 100% hemp milk and watched re-enactments of all the days sports highlights as performed by his personal mime troupe.

it's true.

Ed set the bar real high throughout his life in handsomeness and vocal abilities. Poor guy has to suffer a bunch of overweight, out of shape, pj message board keyboard warriors now because of it

Niche subset of this Howard Stern post, specifically the Yellow Ledbetter video:

Close-ups of Mike's pedal board. I can identify the MXR flanger, script logo Phase 90, and UniVibe, and Carbon Copy delay (a surprising amount of MXR -- for a guy who could get any hand-built boutique thing in the world, he has a pedal board you could put together at Guitar Center for like $800 plus that big switcher). I also see a Line 6 delay (hard to miss) and a Boss Vibrato. Can't make out what the golden pedal is or the one to the left of that (black with white writing). And obviously a wah though I don't recognize the logo.

I know there used to be a place to talk gear but it seems to have disappeared. Anyone else geek out to this stuff and have insight on the right half of Mike's board?

He looks pretty frustrated in the Daughter performance after that part. Seems likely his voice fritzed out on him.

This would be fine. Need Stone to lead it though.

I was actually quite pleased to the see the carbon copy delay. i thought he had just been utilizing the digital line 6 for so long now. The carbon copy is one of the best/most affordable delay pedals and i absolutely love mine. It seems to be at the top of most players lists for best all around.

I cant pick out what overdrive he is using though.

a.) Boom is there because he wants to be, not because he has to

b.) It's not like he's clocking in to cook at Denny's - he's hanging out at Pearl Jam's rehearsal space - rough times

I could have sworn he hit it. I even remember both me and Arthur Morgan posting "he hit the high note."

He hit the high note at "rise above" in Daughter but moved away from the mic so it sounded muffled. He did something similar at the end of SoF.

Yes and you can see that in the SoF video. Weird if they cut that part out of the Daughter video. I had it on earlier but wasn't paying attention closely.
