The entire season should be playoffs imo.

And a round of golf should only be 12 holes, dammit!

Agreed. Something like 120-140 games would be the ideal length. Maybe start a week or two later for those cold climate teams and then have more days off throughout the season.

They should go back to 152 games with scheduled double-headers.

Anything less than 150 isn't enough. Every team wins 50, every team loses 50, it's what you do with the rest that matters.

It would be awesome when a team’s best player only plays 3 games.

I think you’d still have to carry at least 5 pitchers (starter and at least 4 relief pitchers (one of which is a failed starter turned long relief)).

In that case 4 or 5 pitchers, including relievers.

My actual proposal would be a 120 game regular season with expanded playoffs, all rounds best of seven. Still the same basic length of season but you cut out a month where the outcome of individual games really doesn't matter and effectively double post-season buy-in and drama.

how about a coin toss to start extra innings? you can put a runner on third but only your pitchers get to hit

i'm firmly against further post season expansion

one of the few things baseball has got right in recent years is the current playoff format

I have begrudgingly come around on the Wild Card play-in because my team won it last year.
