you're a genius. i can't imagine being that good. although i've only been playing frequently for the past several months. it does feel good to be out of the 800's and then 900's

1670 is not genius. 2600+ is.

You're doing great. Just play more games and, as boring as it is, study openings. I actually prefer 960/Fischer's chess because opening theory is so boring.

i'm not going to read a book about chess. i'm going to keep playing and learning from losses/mistakes/what opponents did to win. thanks for the recommendation though bro

Just became an uncle for the first time! Gotta wait til later in the year to meet the little guy but I figure they don't have much of a personality in this newborn state so I'm not missing much

Today ended up being much busier than I wanted it to be. After two late nights in a row I was hoping to get a few things wrapped up then take it easy the rest of the day. That didn’t happen. Things just kept coming up I had to take care of.
