this post reads a lot funnier if you replace the d in dock with a cChris_H_2 wrote:my neighbor at our lake and i had our docks put in last week. it's super cold out still, but the dock guy had availability. my neighbor's dock is super sleek looking and stacks easily for winter storage because it's lighter and thinner. my dock is not. but everyone i talk to says that they would choose mine because "they don't make docks like that anymore." it's kind of like the Studebakers of lake docks -- clumsy, not very pretty, but a g-damned workhorse. but i've still always had a tinge of jealousy for my neighbor's dock. until the 75mph+ wind gust caught it and his boat hoist last night, while my dock sat there like lieutenant dan daring the storm and living the fuck out of life. my other neighbor sent me pictures, and it looks like central oklahoma in the aftermath of a march tornado; half the dock is laying in about 6 feet of water 40 yards away. i may take a drive up there this weekend to see the carnage for myself.
