Ah, I didn't catch that. I'll miss Victarion but it's better than not getting any Greyjoy action at all.

Talking about Aegon: Do you guys think he was forshadowed in the House of the Undying?
"A dead man in the prow of a ship, a blue rose, a banquet of blood . . . what does any of it mean, Khaleesi? A mummer's dragon, you said. What is a mummer's dragon, pray?" "A cloth dragon on poles," Dany explained. "Mummers use them in their follies, to give the heroes something to fight."

Varys being the mummer using Aegon as his mummer's dragon? Does Varys really want Aegon to win or is he just supposed to be a distraction/cause some chaos before the real dragon arrives?

There are tons of readers who are suspicious of Aegon's legitimacy.

Well yeah, I knew that. That's pretty much all everyone talks about when talking about Aegon. I was just wondering if that's what's being talked about in Daenys prophecies. Because GRRM is often accused of pulling that storyline out of his ass which wouldnt be the case if prophecies as far back as book two are already talking about him. I'm also wondering if the "give the heroes something to fight" has any meaning as in Varys just using him to distract/give the kingdom something to fight. Is he just a puppet for Varys or is Varys really interested in him being on the thrown?

Yeah I think the mummers dragon refers to Aegon. As to Varys' motivations, I have no fucking clue.

I just remembered that Aegon wasn't even meant to attack the Seven Kingdoms already but wait for Daeny so my theory doesn't really make sense anyway. Except Varys somehow also planned that Tyrion would convince him to attack alone. I really need to re-read the books.

Varys was very much a Targaryaen supporter, but Aegon regardless of being a true trag would have Varys' consul and in a sense, give Varys power along with a king that he helped groom into a better all around person who understands the needs of the commonfolk as opposed to the people born into leadership positions. Varys says that he's on the side of whats good for the realm.

A big debate I see on the westeros.org forums is whether bran is stuck in the cave forever or not. You can't get any more clear than "he won't be here forever".

I'm just saying, all those people who were all "he's never leaving that cave!" can suck it.
