And we're getting a sequel next year (supposedly)!

Storywise it seems like it's standard YA novel type stuff, so no more than usual. Less "SJW" and more "genre targeted toward women." Matriarchs and soft men just come with the territory. At some point I expect to have to make a choice between a handsome bad boy and an equally handsome nice guy.

Yeah, I did not like Horizon. Couldn't even get half way through.

The combat of Horizon is the real star. Some of the best combat in an open world ever. I greatly enjoyed strategically targeting enemy robot dinosaurs and using their own weapons against them.

Plus, the game is absolutely gorgeous (especially with HDR).

As if Grimes wasn't already the coolest, evidently she's a big fan of Shadow of the Colossus (08:28) and Dark Souls (10:15). :heartbeat:

Baseball is winding down for the year (MLB The Show was basically the only game I've played since March), and I was leaning towards finally playing God of War. But the HZD talk in this thread changed my mind, I played that for about an hour and a half tonight. Just getting started!

You can't go wrong with either game! I found the audio logs and lore to be surprisingly well written and engaging in Horizon. Take your time and enjoy.

Both HZD and GOW are amazing, perfect time to play them too as we should be seeing sequels to both in late 2021, supposedly.

After only getting a few hours into Ghost of Tsushima, I decided to start over on PS5. The game was already gorgeous but on the PS5 it's an f'ing stunner. I believe an upgrade patch was released when the PS5 launched so that it runs pretty damn close to 4K, 60fps. It definitely shows.

This had a serious stutter/lag issue on my phone at one specific part late into the game. So frustrating.

Now I'm playing Oddmar. Another mobile platformer with above average graphics and super easy game play. Quality mobile gaming doesn't get talked about enough in this forum, guys.

Was finally starting to make some headway on Hollow Knight until I reached the Hornet boss battle. I think I've died over 100 times at this point. I've watched the videos and read the tutorials, I just can't make my gnarled hands and dulled, old man reflexes do it.

Final Fantasy IX on the Switch. I never quite finished it way back when. It's charming and all, and the Nobuo Uematsu score is one of his best, but I'm not sure the nostalgia is going to get me to the finish line. We shall see.
