I’m moderately concerned, everyone.

Boy this is really turning into something else rather quickly. It's surreal.

I agree that we should do what we can to mitigate the spread of a virus but...

Hearing things like "gatherings of 250+ people are banned" is troubling to me as an American.

So is shutting down travel from an entire continent.

I've been one of those people who tries to look beyond the media's reporting on this, but it's starting to feel like this is actually much worse than we've been told. I can't remember ever hearing things like "gatherings of 250 or more people are banned" in my lifetime. As has been stated a number of times, the numbers that have been reported on this thing don't seem to warrant this sort of lockdown.

I'm also very concerned that mass hysteria could happen over something that's certainly killing people, but not something that the vast majority of us need to worry about dying from, or even being seriously ill from.

It's important to stay vigilant about those things. Undoubtedly in the future this will be used to justify more authoritarian controls.

Most people will beg to be "protected" though, sadly.
