You hate it so much, why do you keep doing it to yourself? You are legit insane.
I dunno... I'm interested in these guys because I know them so well.. They're part of me.. I grew up admiring them so much I need to see them and where they are. Not everything has to be about pleasure in life I guess, you know? And again, "hatred" is the wrong word. More like disappointed, confused... I feel compassion for them. I want them to succeed.

Theyre doing just fine, friend.

this band wrote "Whipping" and "Not For You" and you're nostalgic about melody being their strong suit?

I wish they repeated the "faaaaast" bit at the end once or thrice, maybe playing it quieter each time; that would be Yield weird

I just don't think they've got much of an impulse to add that weirdness to these bare bones songs anymore

I like the style of the video but it’s a bit jarring how different the tone of the lyrics are compared to the music/video. It feels like there should be a sarcasm here but it is not coming across to me at all. I was also hoping the animation would have added to the song, which it does not.

Super Blood Wolf Moon
Took her away too soon
Super Blood Wolf Moon
Took her away too soon

I can hear you singin' in the distance
I can see you when I close my eyes
Once, you were somewhere and now you're everywhere
I'm feeling selfish and I want what's right

I ask for forgiveness
I beg of myself
Feeling every night that I see

Right now I feel a lack of innocence
Searchin' for reveal hypnotonic residence
I feel not much of anything
And the cause is life or death

A life of hopelessness, focus on you focusness
I've been hopin' and I hope that lasts
I don't know anything, I question everything
This life I love is going way too fast

Both my eyes are swollen, my face is broken
And I'm hopin' that I hurt you
Hopin' that I hurt you
Hopin' that I hurt you

She was a stunner and I am stunned
And the first thought or second thought "could be the one"
I was a prisoner of keys and the cuffs
Yeah, I was feeling fortunate to be locked up

But the world got to spinnin'
Always felt like it was endin'
And love right, it was standin'
We are each of us!

I can hear you singin' in the distance
I can see you when I close my eyes
Once, you were somewhere and now you're everywhere
I'm feeling selfish and I want what's right

I ask for forgiveness
I beg of myself
Feelin' angry
Now, get off the stage

Super Blood Wolf Moon
Took her away too soon
Super Blood Wolf Moon
Took her away too soon
Super Blood Wolf Moon
Took her away too soon

I can hear you singin' in the distance
I can see you when I close my eyes
Once, you were somewhere and now you're everywhere
I'm feeling selfish and I want what's right

Focus on you focusness, turn around for hopelessness
I've been hopin' and all hope was lost
I don't know anything, I question everything
This life I love is going way too fast
those aren't the official lyrics - there are at least a few lines in there that are definitely incorrect.

I like the song, but I'm still wrestling with how "good" vs. "accidentally effective" I think this facet of it is.
how many facets of PJ have been accidentally effective, just enjoy
Oh I'm not stressing over it, just passively wondering this alongside enjoying it. "Wrestling" wasn't really the right word.

Video is fun and I like the simplistic animation. I think it goes well with the song.

"DOTC" set a pretty high bar for the idea that modern PJ has something to offer beyond regurgitation of familiar formats, a bar this song does not at all clear. In fairness, it doesn't aim to, but I'm (also in fairness, I think) getting bored of songs that don't aim to. That said, I found myself enjoying this song a fair bit more today than I did a couple nights ago -- in a low-stakes, I'm-not-listening-too-closely-to-this sort of way, but still -- that's certainly an acceptable realm for a song to exist within. But I'm still hoping there aren't many others like it.

the same 4 or 5 people who feel the need to chime in every single page with another version of "this sucks" can feel free to fully understand that WE GET IT.

If you like something...you talk about it...you dissect it. Discuss it.

if you hate something then why fucking waste your time? i truly don't understand this. Like, i get it for awhile, but to continually do so just seems like a waste of your own time? no?
