“to be” ≠ “has been”spike wrote:Chris_H_2 wrote:Where did you hear/read that?spike wrote:If it’s any consolation Chris, last night’s ref crew has been downgraded and won’t appear in the playoffs.
I feel like those first two picks would warrant more than some third rounders.Chris_H_2 wrote:saw a mock yesterday where the bears traded their no. 1 to washington for washington's no. 2 pick (washington picked caleb williams), a 2024 third rounder, a 2024 fourth rounder, and a 2025 third rounder. the bears then dealt the no. 2 pick to the patriots for the patriots no. 3 pick (the pats picked drake maye) and two 2024 third rounders and a 2024 fifth rounder. the bears then selected marvin harrison, jr. with the third pick.
that would be insane, but entirely possible.
i think it depends on how badly the commanders would value williams over maye. if it's close, they would just stay put at 2 and let the pats trade up to 1.E.H. i agree. the guy's had 2 terrible offensive coordinators, including the current one. i think if they get someone in there that knows what the hell they're doing so they could utilize his strengths he could shine.Mecca wrote:I’m not the bears GM, but I feel like Fields has enough potential to justify trading out of the 1st overall
i think williams is going to be a complete bust.E.H. Ruddock wrote:I think the Bears will move on from him and draft a QB. That gives them 4 more years of a cheap QB to build around.
agree with you on both counts.Chris_H_2 wrote:i think williams is going to be a complete bust.E.H. Ruddock wrote:I think the Bears will move on from him and draft a QB. That gives them 4 more years of a cheap QB to build around.
i hope bammer's plugging his ears (or covering his eyes), but i think penix is the best qb coming out of the draft (slightly over maye).
I agree about Williams. Was hoping Tampa had a little higher pick to get Drake Maye, but it seems they'll stick with Baker.Chris_H_2 wrote:i think williams is going to be a complete bust.E.H. i think they will unless someone offers them a monster trade package... in which case they can load up on more 1-3 round talent for cheap and build around FieldsE.H. Ruddock wrote:I think the Bears will move on from him and draft a QB. That gives them 4 more years of a cheap QB to build around.
i think washington's new owner is gonna be more about trading back (data-driven, get more picks) than trading upChris_H_2 wrote:saw a mock yesterday where the bears traded their no.
