did you fork over $$ for an international plan? eSIM? Made calls and text over Wi-Fi? Use WhatsApp for texting?

I don’t think we’ll be making a ton of calls unless it the situation warrants. I don’t want to spend a bunch of money unnecessarily.
Most of Europe is included in our plan, but it’s like 2G/3G, so good luck getting maps to load if you’re walking around. Otherwise WiFi wherever I can find it, which in major Euro cities, isn’t too hard.

we looked last night after i'd posted, we could get a plan for $10/day for the first line, $5/day for the second.

definitely be wise to download maps in the airbnb.

We’re France, Italy and Greece. Mrs Wease is hard at work planning all our escapades.

dowloading maps in our airbnb is what my mother in law did while in paris, and she got around okay.

you're vacationing in the UK, France, and Italy and you're thinking about drawing the line at $10 a day?

Just because I'm going on this trip, doesn't mean I'm not looking to save money wherever I can.

to me it would be less about the idea of saving money and more bout quantifying the hassle and inconvenience.

btw, a lot of places in italy, especially restaurants when taking reservations, communicate exclusively with WhatsApp. just something to keep in mind.

Do the $10/day and avoid marital conflict, dad. Money well spent.
