It's nowhere near as good as S1. There are things to like about S2 but it's kind of a mess. And it doesn't really add anything, so unless you really love one of the actors, then I'd say you can feel comfortable skipping it. McAdams is great though. And so is Taylor Kitsch.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I'd have a hard time thinking of a show that had a more disappointing season than S2 of TD.

This was a great thread when Season 2 started. A few of us hated it right away, but there were a few defenders.

Slowly but surely everyone started losing their lunch by the end.

It might actually be better if you just binge the whole thing, though. Part of the disappointment was tuning in each week just waiting for it to get better. At least this way he can take the good with the bad quickly and efficiently.

Yeah. It's one of the weirder things I've seen in television. I'm not sure If i gave it so many chances because it was true detective, or disliked it because it was True Detective.

Was the first episode the one with the guy in the mask who shoots *spoiler* in the chest with a shotgun? Or was that the second episode? I feel like I really loved the first two episodes and then it just started to slide.

I'd rather find a copy of Fire Walk With Me and get caught up on Twin Peaks.

The RM awakening to this show during that first season was one of my favorite times on this board.

Season one was the best thing on TV ever. With watching season two it will be like getting drunk at a bar and thinking you are taking home a 9 (when she's really a 7) and then ending up with a giant skin tag in your mouth when you are going down on her later in the dark.
