That's a bit beyond my level of bafflement right now. We'll need Spenno to give us a new word for April.

Would be good to have a poll in advance of 1 April. These demos are:

a) Fake and Stip never heard them but is very good at writing reviews of imaginary songs
b) Fake and Stip thought they were real and his write up is based on the understanding that they are real
c) Real and Stip's write up is accurate
d) Real and Stip was contacted by the 10club to write the reviews as the trusted mouthpiece of elite Pearl Jam fans whose brains have not yet been mismanaged with great skill

I'd also guess that these have been leaked by the band/PJ organisation to maintain momentum and interest. It helps that these surface during a period of touring and probably noticeable frustration among hardcore fans that the band is sitting on a load of material. If you were going to have a marketing campaign I would think that some leaking of non-album material is quite an effective way of drumming up interest...as long as the stuff isn't complete shit.

This could've happened when Jack was in the band but not now.

They should play a new song tonight, so we can compare it with the demo descriptions on the front page. Conveniently though, the reviewer didn't really pay much attention to any of the lyrics...

I fully expect to see "new song" when the relay starts coming in. Speaking of that, what time is the show?

Its only mid afternoon there right now, I think you can stream the festival off Lolla's website. I'm not sure what time they go on though. Are they headlining?

I think in the Pearl Jam organization's eyes the hardcore fans are the ones who are really excited about the possibility that there may be poster tubes available for sale at Wrigley Field and hope they have a few spare backpacks sitting around the warehouse, so I don't think they realize that there is a real sense of frustration among people who have had a long intellectual/emotional connection to the band. I think as far as the organization is concerned, hardcore fans of the band are as excited and as eager as ever to buy things they put up for sale on the website, so all must be well in PJ World.
