Has anyone tried the third party joycons? Thinking I might get some of those big wide bois for comfy gayming.

I think I might get the Ghostbuster Remaster for Halloween season. A replay of Luigi might be on the doc as well.

Yeah I was a little worried it looked too similar to New Super Mario Bro. Wii U Deluxe but with all the different power ups, features, enemies and animations it looks pretty great and completely different. And the flowers actually talk so I don't have to read shit to my kids. These games are soooo much better with kids. I had no idea.

The badges and wonder effects should get this more replay value than a traditional 2D Mario game.

Do you play much Mario with your kids? Is there a preferred game?

I've played a few games with my oldest over the years. I wouldn't say he truly "got it" in terms of maneuvering in a 2D/3D space until he was around 5-5.5 years old. Before that it was mostly assisting as Bowswer Jr. or something similar. He is VERY into helping me play Tears of the Kingdom right now and he's playing Ocarina of Time on the 3DS. Being able to read is a gamechanger for kids with games.

I look for ToTK and Mario Wonder to get about 30 hours of playtime in the next two weeks.

Dang, that's a lot of time for the Switch to be action. Is that mostly handheld or on a TV?

we upgraded to a new OLED model earlier this year. The previous 1st gen switch had joycon drift and lost connection with wireless controllers
