Yes, fine. In all fairness, if Vader shows up in Ep 8, I'll finish the movie (more than likely). But unless it's some really creative way of bringing him back that enhances the film and the franchise going forward, it will probably ruin the movie for me and keep me from seeing Ep 9 in theaters (if at all). It would be more difficult to make this claim if I hadn't lived through the prequel trilogy.

I'm just not interested in Vader coming back at all.

I'm not against it. I'm just saying I can see a version of these stories where we don't get any Force ghosts. Not Anakin, no Obi-Wan, no Yoda. None of 'em. And I'm okay with that. There are ways to include some/all of them that would be awesome, for sure. But I don't think it's absolutely necessary. Would it be cool? Sure! Will I be sad IF it doesn't happen? Not at all. Do I expect some force ghosts in this new trilogy? Yes, I do.

I'm pretty sure they have a trilogy planned after this.
But this trilogy will be saying goodbye to original characters and plot devices meaning familiar force ghosts etc.
I won't be sad if it doesn't happen either. But you don't leave the one man who is the main character alone in the galaxy who's able to contact them, not contact them.

Weirdly enough I can see Rian Johnson wanting to explore this but I can't imagine treverow even caring.


How shit will it be to have a force ghost family pic at the end of 9 and that's all? Featuring Luke and possibly Leia? It would be really shit. If they're gonna use the important ones they should use them carefully. They don't even have to appear.

We heard Steven stantons old Obi Wan in the Rebels trailer. Get him in. But I would be a supporter of getting Anakin / Hayden back in too. They'll do it sparingly and just enough to make it work. I trust them.
