Wtf
Bammer’s post was… a Bammer post, but what was wrong with Juan’s? Old man, unruly kids… I’ve got 3 young ones, they’re monsters.
The bus is stopped . The driver is standing in the aisle . The kid is crying while the driver pushes him and says to his sister I guess,
"What a pain in the neck you people are. Get out of here"
somebody is recording it.
I don't know.
Let's imagine the driver being black and the kid and girl being white. See, I can't imagine that... because that scenario would never be allowed to comfortably exist .

He didn’t say “people” he said “guys”. “What a pain in the neck you guys are.” Doesn’t look like he really pushed the sister. I dunno. I prob should’ve stayed out of this thread. I bring 2 of my kids to a bus stop with like 12-13 kids and some days I want to punt a few of them into the next yard.

You’re uncomfortable that he got fired?

School bus driver is probably one of the worst jobs on the planet.

20+ multiple choice questions, of which every single answer started with a capital letter. Except for the race category, of course, where “white” was spelled using lower case. Out of probably 80 answers throughout the survey they made sure of this. Lol.
depraved we are. Is that your point?
My point is that it was intentional.
Their point? Anybody’s guess.

Their point was that white is generally seen (or should be seen) as a descriptor and not a specific identity category, whereas Black designates a more cohesive identity and/or community. Not an unusual position to take, one you can even search for on Google:

I am not endorsing any of the above (I don't care) but it's obviously intentional and it's not particularly hard to guess the reason for it.

This is something we can all probably agree on. I wave to my kids bus driver and say “how are you” whenever I take them to the stop, because that is a thankless job with terrible hours for shit pay.

Bammer thanks his driver on the way out, without fail.

How would you determine if someone was qualified as a member of this cohesive community?

I would not, because as I said above I don't really give a shit about this.

Again, don't care, not something I'm interested in so not something I think about. Just here to tell Bammer there's a very obvious and easy to find reason for why one racial category is capitalized and the other is not.

That's not what he meant. But also, he doesn't know what he meant.
