My Nemesis got dumped yesterday by her boyfriend. It's a little annoying because she's crying and talking about it a lot. But I am completely ignoring her and that gives me pleasure. Funny day!
This is your chance! Be the sympathetic shoulder! You’ll be in like Flynn!
I would rather get shot

Wait. Did you have your dog put down?
yup

I take it not many of you visit
the dog thread that often.

That's a really long innings for a dog his size. He wasn't massive but you know what I mean. You obviously spared no expense in terms of quality of food and vet care, and that is commendable.

He held up pretty well until around 13. Switched him to that refrigerated food and gave him pro-biotics and he was like a new dog for awhile. Dry dog food is basically poison I think.

I seem to be coming to this thread for the same reason Burt did a few months ago. Got my cat's ashes yesterday. I've been feeling totally upended since losing her. My sense of time is completely distorted - things feel like they are somehow simultaneously moving in slow motion and at lightning speed. It's been a little over a week since she passed but I feel like I've lived three months in that time. I'm stress-eating a lot. Life feels like it has no flavor or color somehow. I can't find solid ground emotionally and any fleeting feelings of joy, contentment, humor, or anything else positive are immediately followed by intense pangs of sorrow bordering on resentment for even feeling anything good in the first place. I'm sure things will improve with time but it's hard to actually know that right now. I just feel confused and unsettled all the time.

Hang in there LV. It does get easier. I know it’s hard. You’ll get there.
Today is the one year anniversary of Snowball’s last day. Mrs Wease sent me a pic earlier that was the last one I took of her and Parker together. She waited a couple of minutes and then asked if she made me cry. We had her for the shortest period of any of our pets and I swear she’s been the hardest to get over.

I spoke too soon about this teeth extraction shit. No dry socket, but plenty of throbbing. This shit sucks. I just want to eat solid food again.

Be grateful for no dry socket. It's pretty terrible.

Felt awful all morning, bloated, very fatigued, and dizzy at times. My sister suggested I take my BP, it was like 96/60, really low. Drank some OJ, ate some food and it went up a little. Steadily improving this afternoon; my best guess is I hadn’t drank enough water and was dehydrated.

Felt fine today. I did a lot of walking around the day prior and neglected to hydrate much, so I’m hoping that’s all it was.
