It was alright. Very B-grade and goes into really dumb territory often, but there were a few laughs to be had

A League of Their Own is just starting on AMC. One of Hanks' best.

World War Z.
It was okay, don't know if it was worth paying extra to see it in IMAX & 3D.

Confessions of a Superhero and Reinactors. Essentially the same movie about the same people, but still fascinating. These people are crazy, some bordering on dangerous. I can't believe the city doesn't crack down harder on them.

I got to meet the director of "Reinactors" when he brought the film to the BA Independent Film Festival in... 2008 I think? He's famous for making "1991: The Year Punk Broke" and a few other music docs. I haven't seen "Confessions of a Superhero" but I thought "Reinactors" was actually kind of sympathetic towards these weirdos, painting them as tragic figures living in some absurd intersection between "show business" and destitute poverty.

I think Confessions is a little more sympathetic. It doesn't focus on the fighting as much. It only focuses on 4 characters, two of which are somewhat normal. It also goes into Superman and Batman more, who are definitely not normal.

I'm not sure I'll ever understand why people get so up in arms about established artists using Kickstarter.

Caught most of Closer on one of the HBOs after I got back from the gym. It's one of those movies that I can up at any point and get suckered into watching. The writing is exceptional and as good as the other three main actors are it's Clive Owen that owns this movie. His scenes command you pay attention to him. In particular when Julia Roberts tells him she has been cheating on him with Jude Law is an acting seminar. This and Children of Men came out within a couple years of each other and those two are easily my favorite roles of his.
And the final shot of Natalie Portman walking down 47th? I've never seen her look better.
