Story-wise, there will still be 3 or 4 years between the end of Jimmy's story in BCS (not counting the Gene stuff) and where he is in Breaking Bad. They don't have to leave him at the exact same point as where he starts in BB.

and this series is so much better than BB. So much better...to have this kind of tension when you already know most of this characters are going to be alive?

I don't think I'm there quite yet but, factoring in the degree of difficulty in even attempting to follow up BB, BCS is a spectacular accomplishment.

Yeah, as someone who just finished a BB rewatch, BCS is better. Breaking Bad took until season 2 to really hit its stride, while BCS hit the ground running.

I still contend that long stretches at the beginning of seasons 4 of Breaking Bad rank with some of the worst television ever produced

I dont remember the seasons per se, but there was a lot of filler and pretty bad serialized storytelling there.

Watching this scene again. I love that it's immediately when Jimmy tells Lalo "do you want the money? It's in a bag..." that Kim springs to action. She knows if Lalo takes the bag he'll see the thermos with the bullet hole and Jimmy's story will come crashing down.

Fuck, I totally forgot about the thermos. To me, it looked like Jimmy was going to break, Kim jumped in to save him. But you're right.

This show has so many commercial breaks.

It’s kinda messed up the credits give second billing to Jonathan Banks and not Rhea Seehorn.

Safe to say nobody is watching the Sally Field show that comes on after?

Hey verb, have you ever had your hopes dashed more than the brief nudity warning for Bagman being about Odenkirk’s bare ass?

Binging this show would probably be the worst way to watch it.

Who actually watches commercials/watches a show live? It takes maybe 5 seconds to skip forward on the DVR.

This last episode felt like it had a lot of commercial breaks so the final scene (which is pretty long) could air uninterrupted

Like VG said the new episodes premiere down here on Netflix every Tuesday but I'm an impatient bastard so I watch a live AMC stream on Monday night

BCS could end weird too. it's hard wrapping up shows properly.

Besides watching a DVD of Season 1 of Breaking Bad, I've never binge watched either of them.

I've only ever watched them on actual AMC channel twice though, I happened to be at my mom's house when Season 5 episodes 1 and 2 of Breaking Bad were airing. Thank fuck for piracy.

And like I said in my last post in here, Breaking Bad season 1 looks like amateur hour compared to what it later became and especially to early Better Call Saul.
