That has happened. The point, which I failed to make clearly, was that publicly celebrating (and encouraging others to celebrate) a mother losing custody of her 11 year-old daughter because she wasn't vaccinated is fucked up, but is also a pretty good representation of the mindset of the newly minted "Vaxxed" identity group. I wonder what color they will get on the flag?

I don't celebrate someone losing custody of her kid, but she can just go get a COVID vaccine today and be done with it. She will have the added benefit of not dying. She doesn't even have to do the tough behavior changes that come with smoking cessation or weight loss. She walks into Walgreens and walks out 15 minutes later to go get her kid.

The risk to an 11 year old from Covid is pretty tiny (unless he has some unstated underlying condition). He might as well demand that she destroy all bras with underwires due to increased chance of lightning strikes. The risk reward calculation here is bizarre.

"Severe allergic reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis) after a previous dose or to a component of the COVID-19 vaccine
Immediate allergic reaction of any severity to a previous dose or known (diagnosed) allergy to a component of the COVID-19 vaccine"

I plan on avoiding you like the plague regardless of COVID, Bammer. You are no danger to me. But I hope you get it to protect your children and loved ones.

An unvaccinated person is one more place for the virus to spread, mutate, and live on. How someone doesn’t understand this after nearly two years of a pandemic just means they’re not very bright.

Appeal to public health authority died some time ago, so no i'm not going to trust the CDC that these are the only valid reasons not to. Pretty sure white priviledge is a counter indication to getting the jab. Can't have old white people living longer.

Both are what would be called "precautions." That would mean you would get the shot and call your doctor if you had any weird feelings, even stuff you would normally brush off, in the following days.

But the risks of either of those conditions causing problems after a shot are lower than the risks of catching COVID, especially the delta variant. If you really had a history of those diseases, COVID would fuck you up.
