i will die on this hill: they need to change the rule prohibiting the trading of draft picks. i still don't understand why it's never discussed. it would generate interest, reinvigorate the trade deadline (which now usually goes by with a whimper because no one wants to trade prospects), and generate buzz in the draft.

Reviving this post from the lockout period in March with a quick reminder--draft picks can be traded, as long as they are competitive balance picks.
