As a huge Jarmusch fan, im not sure were i put this one in his filmography. It feels like a lost old film from him, its quiet and contemplative, its repetitive in its form and at the same time feels unstructured.
I liked it.
Really want to see this.
You should. Its a movie that needs your attention even if its not grandiose. Adam Driver is pretty good.
I watched this last night and thought it was pretty good. Very deliberate, and certainly dedicated to trying to match the pace and tone of a prose poem with everything from its dialogue to its visuals. A nice achievement, but I wasn't totea engaged throughout.
yeah, its not a movie ill come back for sure. But it was cool to have something more relaxed and quiet.
I've seen it twice already and really love it. It's a very kind movie

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Kong Skull Island. What a waste of time. Probably would have really liked it if I was 13 though

What were they going for with that one? Such a corny movie.

Paterson is how you make a nice movie. You give it some actual stakes, fill it with full and interesting characters, and tell a good story. There is no need to make it sickly sweet or stupid.
This post is a criticism of La La Land.

I'm tending towards positive/contemplative art lately, rather than dark or negative. There's enough sadness in real life; a character study about a bus-driving poet sounds like the perfect antidote to the headlines of the world.
no refunds.

Paterson is such a quiet contemplative piece of work. There are hints of darkness there, but overall it might be one of the most relaxing movies i saw these last couple of years.

Win It All.
Its a way more focused movie that the last two from Swamberg, and i appreciate this because i like his movies...it feels almost like a companion piece of Drinking Buddies.
Jake Johnson is pretty good, and the movie is small, kinda amateurish in its look but at the same time feels more like a real movie with a conflict and a resolution.

Withnail & I
It's 30th anniversary today.
One of the best films ever made. Certainly among the funniest and most quotable.

The late night restaurant.
A Korean film. It's actually quite charming.

Big Hero 6. Not something I would typically watched but I was pleasantly surprised.

Just got done with Apocalypse Now Redux
I hadn't seen it for a few years, and forgot just how fucked up it all is. I feel like I've gone insane just watching the damn thing.
